An enriching experience in which art and beauty embraced solidarity: on the occasion of the inauguration of WonderLAD – the home dedicated to children with oncological diseases and their families – Isola Bella Gioielli presented, with a special “zero lesson,” the Jewelry Design workshop. The creative course, taught by Dr. Giuseppe Argurio, will be an opportunity for recreation and growth for the little ones who will attend the facility that arose in Catania and is already planned in the calendar for the first months of 2020, on a weekly basis.

Children will get to bring a unique and personal creation to life, starting with the idea and drawing. The goal is to make silver jewelry produced by micro casting, conceived and created by the little ones and then transformed into precious metal, then enameled in full Isola Bella style.

The WonderLAD project was implemented with the help of numerous international sponsors and partners and attracted public and institutional attention. Among the many guests attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony was also Minister of Labor and Social Policies Nunzia Catalfo, to whom Isola Bella donated the solidarity charm L’Albero dei Desideri, created specifically to support the LAD association – promoter of the WonderLAD project.

Part of the proceeds from the sales of the charm-which echoes the colors and logo of the association-are used to fund LAD’s activities, both in the newly opened house and in the Pediatric Oncohematology Department of the Catania Polyclinic.
