A WONDERFUL HOME: SUPPORT WONDERLAD WITH BEAUTIFUL ISLAND JEWELRY

Caring for and giving every child with cancer moments of joy, vitality and beauty: this is the mission of LAD, the Catania-based association that has been active in the Etna area since 2011 with PROJECTS DEDICATED TO CHILDREN and their families.

Over the years many milestones have been cut by the association:

  • The “child-size” renovation of the PEDIATRIC ONCOLOGY DEPARTMENT AT THE POLYCLINIUM OF CATANIA;
  • The organization of CREATIVE LABORATORS to stimulate and entertain the little ones during the care journey;
  • the construction of WONDERLAD, a bio-architectural house, a set of “art workshops” where space can be given to the most fruitful and vitality-laden areas that each of these children cherishes despite the horrors they have experienced.

In this journey made of great commitment and immense achievements-thanks to the help of partners and sponsors, public and private, from all over the world-the paths of LAD and Isola Bella Gioielli have crossed: in 2017 ISOLA BELLA GIOIELLI made a SOLID CHARM – The Wish Tree – which incorporates the colors and symbol of the association and THAT CONTRIBUTES TO FINANCE ITS PROJECTS with part of the proceeds from sales; in addition, cn the opening of WonderLAD, Isola Bella Goielli promoted and organized a JEWEL DESIGN LABORATORY. DEDICATED TO THE CHILDREN, in line with the philosophy of art therapy that has always been the association’s mission.

Now is the time when LAD needs everyone’s support to complete the SIX RESIDENTIAL ACCOMMODATIONS AT WONDERLAD, designed to accommodate as many families of up to four people. The homes are totally self-contained so that parents can always care for their child and be with them, especially when debilitating medical conditions exist.

To be able to offer A SAFE PLACE to children with oncological disease from out of town, torn from “normalcy” and further burdened by pandemic fears, is to give them back the FEELING OF HOME AND FAMILY, where they can reconnect with desire, vitality and growth.
