The partnership between Isola Bella Gioielli and LAD, the association that provides art therapy for children and adolescents with cancer diseases, is renewed over time. After the launch of the solidarity charm Wish Tree, which echoes the colors and symbol of LAD and which – with part of the proceeds from sales – helps fund its projects, Isola Bella Gioielli promoted and organized a special Jewelry Design Workshop dedicated to young children, in line with the philosophy of the association, which has always been active with thematic workshops and creative activities.

, the hug-house that was built in Catania thanks to LAD and a large participatory solidarity project, inaugurated in the fall of 2019 and now home to the main activities organized by LAD. Starting last September, every Friday afternoon, children have the opportunity to play with imagination and colors to Design and make a real piece of jewelry to wear, under the skillful and passionate guidance of Joseph Argurio who is in charge of the creative concept and production of the collections for Isola Bella Gioielli, with the collaboration of designer Scarlett Margaglio.
The workshop sponsored by Isola Bella Jewelry and other WonderLAD activities. – albeit with some necessary modifications – have not been held back and, with the authorization of the Regional Health Councillor Ruggero Razza and thanks to the recognized importance that art and creativity occupy in the daily course of care for children and young people with serious illnesses, have been continued even during this difficult period.
Between pencils and blank sheets of paper, colored sketches and technical drawings, scissors and pliers, after trials made with materials such as wax and brass, born of the silver bijoux which are then donated to small designers – lemon and cherry shaped lobe earrings, pendants dedicated to sleeping cats on moon wedges and many other original creations. The most precious thing-for the heart and for the future-is to watch children’s smiles and eyes light up when their imagination takes shape.
