More than 2.5 billion children immunized in 122 countries: these are the achievements to date of the PolioPlus program sponsored by Rotary International in the fight against polio.
The initiative is led by the Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI), which includes the Rotary International, UNICEF, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and governments around the world, with support from many other partners.
It is precisely through Rotary – which relies on the passion of its members to raise awareness, fundraise and encourage governments to donate and support polio eradication efforts-Isola Bella Gioielli has embraced the cause and recently received a certificate of merit that fills the brand, always mindful of social responsibility, with pride and hope.
