The St. Benedict Cross pendant reproduces the medal of St. Benedict, which became popular around 1050. On the front, in the center of the pendant, are the initials of the prayer that protects man from Evil; on the back is a depiction of St. Benedict holding in his right hand a cross elevated toward heaven and in his left hand the open book of the holy Rule. With its lines and decorations, the cross is an homage to the Baroque.
