A performance inspired by the story of Agatha, her martyrdom, her relics and treasures. Thus was born “Agata: the Holy Maiden” by Giovanni Anfuso, a sacred drama dedicated to the patron saint of the city of Catania designed to be performed in the Badia di Sant’Agata, one of the most striking churches in the Etnean capital.

With the contribution of Isola Bella – that already for years with the collection I Gioielli di Sant’Agata pays tribute to the patron saint-a theatrical tale set during World War II, amid true facts and imaginary adventures, real figures and literary inventions, which becomes an opportunity to create a fresco of the deep feelings of a city that has always been at one with its saint.
