Elena Bonetti, Minister for Equal Opportunities and Family, stopped in Sicily last Saturday-July 11 to attend some institutional meetings in Palermo. Also accompanying her on her visit were the president of the Marisa Bellisario Foundation, Lella Golfo, and the Foundation’s contact person for Sicily, Marcella Cannariato.

Important meetings that focused on a number of issues that the Foundation – which has always been at the forefront of all ‘battles’ concerning the personal and job growth of women, in order to promote a gender-conscious culture of equality-carries on with the support of institutions, such as that of violence prevention, the enhancement of female professionals working in the public and private sectors.

On the occasion of the visit Barbara Mirabella – Councillor for equal opportunities of the City of Catania – together with the women representing the Catania section of the Foundation, wanted to show their closeness to the Foundation and its mission by choosing to donate to the Minister and the two Presidents – national and regional – of the exclusive creations Isola Bella Jewelry, which has always placed the enhancement of the area at the center of its activities with collections dedicated to the world of women.
