This figure had a specific meaning that was valid as a warning to those who wanted to strike a quarrel or, as some claim, was associated with the grattarola (grater) as a kind of amulet against horns or the envious.
Our jewels are completely nickel free and are covered with a thin layer of palladium, to allow the gilding to last a long time.
In order to prolong the good hold of the jewels, implement small measures:
- store the jewel in its box or on a soft surface avoiding contact with other jewels;
- remove your jewelery before swimming or exercising, water and sweat can be harmful;
- If your jewel comes into contact with water, dry it immediately by dabbing it with a microfibre cloth;
- limit contact with chemical products, creams and perfumes as much as possible and handle them with care;
- if your jewel has suffered an impact, contact an Isola Bella Gioielli retailer immediately, or contact the Assistance Centre.

The prickly pear is linked in the collective imagination to Sicily. Symbol of strength and color of the Island because the fruit comes from a wild plant that often unirrigated, survives a thousand bad weather conditions. Here it is used as a valuable food for the beginning of the farmer's workday, especially during the harvest season; throughout the island from San Cono to the slopes of Mount Etna, from the Nisseno area to the Agrigento area, it is in fact traditional to consume prickly pears during breakfast. A custom derived from the ancient custom of the vineyard owner giving these sweet fruits sparingly to his grape pickers to prevent them from eating too many grapes during harvest.
