The tambourine is a framed musical instrument, consisting of a beechwood part and a frame on which goat or kid skin is applied. This is fastened by wooden nails or with a band, also made of wood. In addition, the tambourine consists of a metal part inserted into the frame, cymbals, originally made from sardine tin.
Undisputed symbol of Sicilian sounds, rooted in the dawn of time, giver of the ancestral rhythm and cadence.
